Wanting to wait until marraige

Ok so I already hv a son from previous relationship. So obviously I'm not a virgin. But I am engaged now we've been engaged for over a year. I've talked to my fiance about we should wait to have sex until we are married to do right by God. So he has agreed. But he still try to hv sex. I really don't know how to feel. I feel like if we don't wait we'll have a fail marriage but he don't seem to understand any advice?
