Well we welcome baby Everly Mae into the crazy world on June 5th

Well we welcome baby Everly Mae into the crazy world on June 5th. I went in to be induced because my doctor was going to be out of town. They couldn’t do the induction because I was already at 4 cm. So the plan was to start all the meds the next morning as it turns out I was laboring on my own. I had to get my epidural at the point because I had contractions that were spiking and staying at 12 for a very long time. They kept coming in and switching me side to side because her heart beat would drop extremely low. Which I’m glad I did get the epidural that early because they came and checked me an hour later and I was at 8cm. At that point they found out that I had a placental abruption and was bleeding pretty heavily. So they were watching all of that because they were worried about her getting oxygen. They had doctors in and out until my doctor came at 7am. Unfortunately my dilation stalled and had to have some pitocin for about 45 minutes when everything kicked into high gear. It took about 2 1/2 hours for me go from 8 to 10cm. I didn’t know this but she was sunny side up so they were going to rotate her. Luckily after the first push she did it on her own and she was out and into this crazy world after that second push. Even though there was issues with delivery she is perfectly healthy and is an amazing baby.
