i’m currently 11 weeks pregnant with my twins. we also have 2 dogs (10 yrs & 2 yrs old). at first i was having terrible morning sickness, so i honestly couldn’t even be around the dogs. the smell of them & their breath made me want to vomit. now that the nausea eased up, i’m not constantly pushing them away. i thought the younger dog we were going to have to worry about. he’s been the baby & i just figured he’d get super jealous. instead he’s super lovable still. the older dog however has become nervous & spiteful & i haven’t even had the babies yet. almost every day (starting about 3 or 4 weeks ago) he has pooped in the house (when we aren’t home) i know he knows it’s wrong because he eats it to hide what he did. has anyone else had trouble with their dogs acting out since they’ve been pregnant? i know dogs can sense pregnancy. i’m even thinking maybe it’s my fault for making him feel unloved by not letting them constantly be near me. we don’t pay less attention to them but i’m at a loss for what to do other than just clean it up every time & move on. crating while we are gone isn’t an option for the older dog. (we don’t have one nor has he been in one for 6 years) any advice??
