Prepare yourself💜

Kortney

My baby girl finally arrived on June 3rd at 4:32 AM and 41 weeks and 2 days. She was 20.5 inches long and 7.12 pounds.

She is absolutely PERFECT💜

I went in on Friday at noon for a NST and had a couple of high blood pressure readings, so my Dr decided to go ahead and keep me and start the induction process. They gave me cytocen to try to get me to dilate, and the contractions started. . . And they lasted for a very long time. Not a lot of progress was being made. We did this all night, I was exhausted. The contractions were all in my back and they were so strong all day Saturday. Finally around 5:30pm I finally was dilated to a 5. They gave me another round of cytocen and we waited... then in about two hours I finally was dilated to a 9.5. They gave me an epidural at this point and then we started to push. I pushed for about 5 hours. I literally didn’t think I had anymore energy left. My dr decided to give me a break and another dose of my epidural. After another hour, with hopes that she decided to turn a hair to make it easier... we started pushing again. I pushed for about an hour this time and she finally decided to come out!

She was face up, which is evidently the hardest way to give birth. And her cord was wrapped around her in four different spots. But she was absolutely worth all of the pain and exhaustion. She’s the most beautiful little girl that I’ve ever seen. 💜
