September Baby Shower

Is September too early for a baby shower? I’ll be 6.5 months pregnant by that point, the only reason why we’re going to have it so early is because my mom will be visiting from out of the country and won’t be back again until the week of my due date.

I guess another advantage is getting it out of the way before the holidays hit, people get busy, and the weather worsens. I know typically people wait until 2 months before their due date but interested in hearing what other people think. I’m on the fence but it’s important for me to have my mom there and I think that’s my only option.
