Does my baby like me? FTM

Question

Currently my 1 month old and I live with my mom due to my husband being deployed. She has been the biggest help and I am sooo thankful. However, is it possible that my baby likes her more than me or even thinks that she is his mom? It seems like he is just so chill with her and with me he is fussy. I am still learning this whole mom thing, but I hope I’m not so bad that my own baby would reject me lol

Don't worry, your baby doesn't favor your mom. Your son may be fussy with you because he can smell your milk and wants some. Also, your baby can sense your emotions. If you're anxious or worried, he may pick up on that and express it. Relax and enjoy this time momma! There will come a time when you can't go to the bathroom without him wanting to climb all over you ;-)

Maybe its just that your Mum is more relaxed/comfortable with your baby. Babies sense how you feel or if you are stressed. Im sure as you feel more relaxed with your baby, your baby will feel more relaxed with you! Dont worry at all. Raising a baby is the most rewarding thing. Congratulations!

Well she has your moms genetics from you so she can look like her but if she spends alot of time with her doesnt mean she will think shes her mom. Your mom has more experince so she will know what to dow it a fussy baby. Just relax youll get the hang of it and she knows you are her mother. Babies are small but they are smart and know who mom is. 😊

my baby also was the same she used to or atleast i thought she loved my mother in law more than she loved me .. we lived one year in there house but as she grows she started to fav me all the time
