National Guard questions.
My husband injured his leg at an overseas training and due to the military dragging their feet it was 9 months from injury to surgery. Well since his leg went so long untreated it potentially has permanent damage it’s just not healing the best (doctor thinks his prognosis is good muscle will potentially be permanently deformed and he will always have pain in the leg but able to function as normal. the healing is taking significantly longer than a normal case due to treatment being delayed). He is currently on a profile and they are not happy that he has been on a profile for over a year (which really is their own damn fault) they are trying to send his case to the med board for review. What happens if he gets medically discharged?
Second question pertains to tricare? Does anyone have tricare as their secondary insurance? We just got married and I am pregnant with our second child and have Hashimotos disease so I’m getting costly labs done monthly, seeing a specialist, as well as all the normal Ob stuff. I am currently on my dads insurance but will be booted off it shortly after baby is born. I would just make it easy and drop dads insurance and get on the tricare but I am damn near hitting my deductible on dads insurance already so want to try to just make tricare secondary. Will tri care cover any of my pregnancy and Hashimotos stuff? When I loose my dads insurance then does tricare just automatically become primary or do I need to do something?
