Doctor against keto - opinions?

Z

I’ve had a handful of gallbladder attacks since August. I had a horrible one yesterday and went in to see the doctor. They’re setting me up with a surgeon to get stones out. Anyway, he told me to get off of keto and told me it doesn’t even work and that it’s not natural for the body to use fat for energy. I only started keto last week and have lost 10 lbs. I drink >100 oz of water per day. So my gallbladder issues started way before I even knew about keto. I kinda want to ignore his orders to stop keto just because I’ve seen it working and I feel amazing and so much more energized and productive on it. I really don’t think keto is the problem here. Opinions? Should I listen to him? I’ve heard of other people’s doctors recommending keto so I’m confused. Thanks!
