WHY AM I HAVING SO MANY PERIODS???

I’m on the mini pill! I take it religiously every night at 9:30 on the dot! If I’m a minute late or a minute early, I start my period!!! This is ridiculous! The mini pill is my last option other than condoms but I’m so afraid to get off the pill! Anyone else having this issue?! I feel so sick every time I get my period and 10+ periods in 5 months has got me feeling down ): I’ve talked to my doctor and she said it’d be normal to have breakthrough bleeding but it shouldn’t be a full blown period, so Im confused! I’m about to say f it and get my uterus taken out!

I’m having very similar issues! What pull are you on? I started birth control (pills, Junel Fe)  last month, so this month is my second month of being on it. Prior to starting BC I had very normal and regular periods. Ever since I started BC I have had spotting or period like blood for 3-5 days about every other week to every 2 weeks. I’ve read that it can be normal to spot while starting BC cuz your body is trying to get used to the hormones. I feel sick when I’m on the periods that are not during my placebo pills. Idk what is going on!

get off of them! use condoms, your body is obviously not adjusting to it very well. Call your doctor and let them know whats going on.

I was having similar problems when I was on the pill. My doctor said that it could take up to 6 months to a year before my body adjusted to the hormones.
I would have a 2 week long period and then a break for a couple weeks, then a month long period, then just spotting for a month, then nothing for 3 weeks... it was torture.
I went to a nurse practitioner and she said that the hormones in the pill I was on weren’t strong enough and suggested trying a new pill. 
I just decided to go off them entirely and use condoms instead. I hated not being regular and how my body and mood were on the pills!
