Birth Story
I am posting this a little late, but I wanted to post my birth story.
I went in to be induced to have my son May 28, at 39 weeks, we got there at 8pm. I was checked and still at a 1 & 1/2, they hooked me up to monitors and started cervadil, and put my iv in. Tuesday morning at 6:30, I was checked again and was only at a 2, I was then put on pitocin. I was checked again at 9 and was at 3, my midwife broke my water then checked me again at 11 and I was at a 4, you can call me a sissy but I wanted the epidural right then. After I received the epidural, my midwife helped me lie down and put the peanut ball between my legs. My midwife came in once again at 2pm and checked me and said she could see his head. We had to wait on another nurse to get to the hospital, she was across the street at the office. They started setting everything up while we waited, I couldn't feel my contractions at all, so I was pretty comfortable. once she got there around 2:15pm I done a few practice pushes, then my midwife asked if I wanted a mirror to watch and I said yes please. After she put the mirror to where I could see, she told me to push, I pushed 3 times and seen his head and she told me to take a deep breath and push one big time and I did, his head was out, then pushed again for his shoulders and he was completely out at 2:28pm. I tore a little on my inner labia so luckily it wasn't too bad. My healthy little boy Noah, 6lbs 6oz, 20 inches long.

I was in active labor for 7 hours and 58 minutes. I am very thankful to have an easy labor & delivery and I hope anyone who reads this has a safe labor & delivery and a healthy baby.
