I am writing because it was a post here that really helped me.

I had no idea what a miscarriage entailed. It is awful. Devastating and the most emotional pain I have ever been in.

The thing that really got me by surprise was how long it has taken me to heal. All of the doctors, nurses and midwives said that we could start trying after a period, so about a month. For 12 weeks I continued to bleed and spot. So many visits to the doctor and a number of ultrasounds later they had no idea what was wrong.

Time, my body just needed time.

Nearly five months on I have had a normal period and we are ready to start trying again.

Patience is sometimes harder than one thinks.
