Check Pinterest and Amazon. We just did a 9 hour drive with our 20 month old. We stopped every 2-3 hours. We also bought a dvd player on Amazon, it was a life saver.

I got a tray like this for a 12 hour drive. It’s called Dmoose Travel Tray on Amazon. My 1 year old liked it for a while and then got annoyed he couldn’t touch his tablet but older kids would definitely love it. It straps around the seat and is easy to take on and off.

We have them for my kids and I love them! The my use to them eat, color, play toys that have small parts. Well worth the money!

I'd absolutely use something like that! I've been on nuuuuuumerous long road trips with my now 3.5 year old since she was 1.5. The longest being 35 hours of driving within three days. We loaded up a old cell phone with a bunch of downloaded movies  (this is key in case you lose service). Lots of snacks, books, toys and frequent breaks!
