Hey everyone. So my husband and I decided that we are going to tell my parents and other close family on 4th of July (two days after our first appointment at 10w). I’m planning on getting a shirt made that says “Red, White, and due 2019”, but my question is, how do I reveal it? I don’t want to just wear it where everyone arrives to our house one by one and finds out. Do I wear a sweater and then take it off? How to I lead up to that? Any suggestions at all?

Also, we are leaving the next day to fly down to Texas to tell my MIL and SIL. Any ideas on how to tell them? I have no idea if we will have a scan during our first appointment...I’m pretty sure my midwife’s practice sends you to a different center for that and I don’t know how long it takes to get in for a scan.
