What is the longest you wait to see a positive test?

I'm 3 days late with no PMS symptoms but getting negative tests.

In April I was sure I was pregnant, took probably 2 tests a day because I felt something was different, got my faint pink line and positive pregnancy tests. two days later had a miscarriage. I was 7 days late. always wait at least a week. save yourself the money of tests..
