What i did was put a thick piece of gauze around my sons belly and i would bathe him and it wouldn’t get wet :) i gave him his first bath at 1week old when it fell out and the only thing left was that and i just wrapped it with gauze.

The blood is because it’s been pulled open a few times during diaper changes etc but I don’t see any other signs of it not being healed. My mom says I should wait another week to avoid infection so I was wondering if I should just go ahead with it.

My daughter's belly button did that. Our pediatrician said it's bc it was connected deeper and at just wipe it once a day with an alcohol wipe..but I think she's fine to bathe personally

grab a cotton bud and gently spread the belly button to clean the inside whilst bathing..

Since birth I’ve been bathing my baby everyday I don’t see the harm?
