I’ve never had luck with condoms. When I first had sex with my boyfriend (now husband), I was a virgin. I was on the pill but I wanted to use condoms just for double protection. We tried it once and I absolutely HATED the way it felt. I have a lot of sensory aversions and it just completely freaked me out. So we never used condoms after that. Well, now I’m 34 weeks pregnant and the last time we had sex I got contractions, so we decided to try condoms again so that I wouldn’t go into labor early. The first time we used them, we noticed a bad smell almost like really bad farts. 😂 We both thought it was the other person just having stomach issues so we didn’t say anything until we were done. When we discovered neither of us was the culprit, we thought maybe one of our cats had had an accident in our room. We couldn’t find anything though so we just kinda forgot about it. Well we just used the condoms again, and the same exact smell happened almost immediately after I put the condom on him and we started going at it. We took the condom off and immediately the smell was gone. Could this just be the condom reacting to my discharge? Maybe the pregnancy hormones? It’s not a fishy smell, and I don’t ever smell it unless we’ve been using the condoms, so I’m thinking it’s not an infection. I just don’t get it! Ugh. Also, I need some recommendations on good condoms cuz I’m just lucking out lmao. The ones making a weird smell are Trojans, so obviously not that brand.
