infected belly button?

i got my belly button pierced on thursday and in between the top and bottom piercing is a little painful. it’s pretty red as well and i’m just hoping it’s not infected. does anyone have any advice or know if it’s infected?

Yeah i think you need a longer bar too. If the holes don't get air it'll get infected.

I cleaned mine with contact solution twice a day. It worked great and it was way more convenient than having a shot glass full of salt water placed over my belly button twice a day. Make sure you’re keeping it clean. It’s super important.

Ignore the people telling you to switch your ring. Just keep cleaning it 2 times a day and it'll pass! My bellybutton took forever to heal, I left my original one in for 6 months before I could change it comfortably

Mine was swollen after I got it for a good week and I cleaned it with salt water 2x a day and was healed by month 3 but it looks like the bar isn’t long enough you should have done space and see part of the actual bar.

I remember after mine was pierced the swelling was worse than my piercer had thought so he didn't put a long enough bar in. So the top ball began to dig into my skin. If it doesn't begin to feel better go back to your piercer because if the bar is too short your piercer will change it out for a longer one.

just keep cleaning it twice a day! my belky piercing was red for a week after it was first done. looks like you need a longer bar tho so go double check with your piercer!
