Temperature for baby’s room?

I read something that said the optimal temperature for the baby’s room is between 65-70. Does everyone really do that? Am I the only one that thinks thats kinda cold?
I get overheating can increase the risk of SIDS.. but 65-70 seems drastic. Our air conditioner would be running nonstop all day if I kept our two story house at 65 degrees 😨
We keep the ceiling fan running in baby’s room and our room (where he sleeps currently), but its generally probably around 75 degrees. Am I a bad mom hurting my son?! 😫

68-72 is what I’ve always been told but I’ve also been told to have the house as you like and just add a layer if it’s cold.

Sleeping in chilled environments is better for people of all ages. Not just babies. And that's not cold at all lol our daughter's room is kept at 68 degrees and all she sleeps in is a short sleeved onsie and a halo sleep sack.

We keep our two story house at 69-70. But we always have. 
No one knows what causes SIDS. They just introduce guidelines for how they think it can be prevented. Just make sure baby is dressed light enough to match the temperature.

We live in a house from 1880, so The temperature is what it is. Everything from 59f to 77f, baby seems to sleep just fine as long as I dress him correctly.

I heard it's 62-72 but the house were in were having trouble with that and my daughter passed away from sids at 2 1/2 actually called sud-c same thing just with older kids. my son is now almost 3 in September and I can't worrie enough about him. babies can over heat in there sleep if not dressed properly and the temp isn't proper and cause seizures that a baby can pass away with. it just almost happened with our one friends son he just turned 1 in March, after the seizure he stopped breathing thankfully the hospital staff was able to bring him back. I'm not saying this to scare anyone or anything I'm just wanting everyone to be awhere of it. cause I definitely didn't think it would happen to me and it did.

We keep our house around 70. Their monitors have temp gauges on them. Their rooms are usually a little warmer since they are on the top floor. They sleep fine around 75. Anything above that they don’t sleep great.
