Any FTM who had an induction?

Question

Hi ladies, just wondering if there are any ftm out there who had elective inductions? What was your experience? Do you feel you missed out on anything by not going into labour spontaneously? 
I’ve been given the option of an induction and just wanted to hear other ladies thoughts on their experience. Thanks!!

I was induced. And I’m glad I did because I was so worried of not knowing I was in labor. But it was very easy especially with the epidural

I’m a mother (sounds so strange thinking that) but only barely. My baby is a seed right now 😍 but my little sister is about to be a FTM this coming Sunday! Her induction was scheduled for June 17th, on the day she hits 38 weeks. Her doctor said she wanted to induce because her blood pressure has been higher than desired. In the same appointment, she told the doctor that the sonographer weighed her baby in at 8 pounds 13 ounces [AT 37 WEEKS!] so he is definitely coming out Sunday, if not sooner! 
I don’t think she is even considering that the experience isn’t “natural”. She naturally made him, naturally grew him, and she’s got logs for ankles so she naturally wants him out ASAP!

I had one with my first after I was 40 weeks. I don’t feel like I missed anything. I was in labor and also had a non-emergency c section, I feel like I experienced most everything. My water broke at home in the middle of the night for baby #2, when I had a planned c section. I had an over 9 lb for baby #1 and i think waiting longer I cringe to think how big he would have been. Not everyone has the same experience. To me it really wasn’t bad. I was ready to meet my little guy.

I had one at 40 + 11. I wish I'd known about the bishop score before I agreed to it. my body was not ready to be induced and it was really difficult. just get confirmation from your doctors that you are ready.

I am FTM of twin boys and I was induced at 37 weeks! I went into preterm at 34 weeks and I managed to keep them 4 cm dilated until 37 weeks. Honestly my labor went very good, I was already fat along enough to break my water thankfully. She broke my water around 7:30-8 am, started pitocin, for an epidural not too long after that and had both my sons naturally at 3:04pm and 3:08pm!

with my 1st, I was induces at 40wk. I wished I had waited, wasnt to bsd an experience tho.      with the other 2, I Waited it out and went in labor on my own.

I got induced because my water broke and I was only 1 cm and not getting contractions. That pitocin is no joke I was getting contactions every minute at just 1 cm so I got the epidural at 4 cm. Pitocin was started at 10 am and had my son at 8:49 pm.

I had an induction and it went great everything was controlled and in the hospital and had contractions until i asked for the epidural and a few hours later had my baby boy

I was induced with my first while it wasn't a horrible experience, induced with pitocin labored for just over 5 hours  no epidural, I do kinda wish I went into labor naturally, which is what I plan on doing with this one!
