mood swings with ovulation?

didn’t quite know where to put this- here seemed best, seeing as it is a “cycle” question

so all day today and yesterday, i have been very emotional- going up to my bed and just crying for no reason, feeling low energy, cried and was sad for an hour because my boyfriend left to go hang out with friends (we’d been together nonstop for three days, so it’s understandable he needed time away lol). yesterday was my ovulation day, and i’m not sure if maybe ovulating has something to do with mood swings like your period does? has anyone else experienced this?
