Long term relationships, Engaged, and Married ???

What’s your advice on how to keep things fresh and new after you’ve been together for so long ?

My advice is to not try to fix something that isn't broken. 
I see a lot of people wanted something new in their relationships. Complaining that they've fallen into the same rut. What's wrong with comfortable consistency? Nothing. 
It's perfectly okay to do the same thing everyday or every weekend. 
I hate the beginning of relationships. You've always go to be on. Trying to impress. Trying to change it up. Trying to stay interesting. 
There's nothing like coming home with no expectations. Knowing that when you get home, dinners ready. Your show has recorded for Tuesday night. Your SO is patiently waiting to watch it with you. 
It's okay to want to mix things up a bit. Randomly go on a vacation, go a see a movie, go to the zoo, etc. Just don't try to make your relationship new again. That's my advice.

We do mini dates or go on weekend adventures. Actually talk. Play games. Laugh.

Be intentional every day about showing affection and just being nice to each other. It’s the little gestures that add up. Sometimes I still take time out of my day to stare at my husband and just admire the soft and defined features that he has. Oh and being in the same room while on your phone does not = spending quality time together. And make sure you schedule dates and follow through with them! My husband and I don’t have a lot of money at the moment bc he got laid off, so some of our dates have been going out for ice cream or going to the pool. Alone time together is highly important in keeping intimacy BECAUSE people change over the years. 
Last point, he will change. And so will you. I used to be a singer when I met my husband, but now I’m a painter and only sing in the car. Keep rediscovering your partner and the love you have for them will stay fresh.

Date nights. Projects together. Just because surprises/gifts. Keeping the love life interesting. We go through phases of routine and monotony and those are some of the ways we snap out of it

We get complacent when we’ve been together for so long- try surprising him with something out of the ordinary; doesn’t have to be fancy or expensive, just something you don’t normally do or haven’t done for a while. I guess it depends what you feel is missing. 
A few months ago, my partner and I promised one day a month to each other- baby with his grandparents, no phones, no work talk (we work together too), no expectations, just us two. The first month we went to the cinema and for dinner, the next month we went away for two days to Berlin after finding a cheap deal online the week before, and this month we stayed in getting drunk, playing cards and board games, and chatting until the early hours. It’s been great and gives us something to look forward to; if you feel like you’re missing out on doing fun stuff then I’d really recommend it. You could even take it in turns picking what you guys do or make a jar of date ideas to pick one out of each month. 
If that’s not your thing and you think you’re missing intimacy, then maybe something more along the lines of a romantic night in, some new lingerie, or find some new positions together to try in the bedroom one night.
