OPK question--

This may be stupid & I'm sorry...this is month 2, TCC #1...but if I got a pos opk on July 9th, is the 10th my first DPO? MY pos was in the evening of the 9th, but I had symptoms of O on the 10th. I'm just confused what days I should be counting from.
