Will I ever get pregnant?

5 months of trying, and still nothing. I’m starting to think maybe it’s not supposed to happen for me. I heard after a year of trying with no success you are considered “infertile”. Is this true? Are you just fucked after a year?

It depends how old you and your husband are. I have been off birth control for 12 cycles and nothing so I scheduled an appointment with my OBGYN for ultrasound to check for cysts or fibroids and blood work. Can’t hurt to try to get some answers! 5 months is really not long enough though.

It took me a year for my first so I know how frustrating it can be! We saw a specialist then got pregnant naturally the month after I had an HSG done to make sure my tubes weren’t blocked. I think seeing a specialist helped me mentally because I knew we had options so I was able to relax. We were planning to start clomid the following month.

It’s take a healthy couple 6 months to a year to conceive. 5 months of trying is really not a lot. A lot of is having been trying for years. If nothing happens for you after a year you can go see your doctor and they will run tests for you. Baby dust

5 months is nothing.  pregnancy takes perfect timing, a healthy and mature egg, and a strong sperm that makes it to then through.  it can take a year for a healthy couple.  Stop thinking too much about it, let it just happen. If nothing in a year then maybe a specialist.

I tried for 3 years before i seen a specialist. I wasn’t ovulating. Progesterone was 7 doctor put me on letrozole. Wasted so much time. Don’t wait like i did.
