ADA’s, DAs, criminal/civil/family law attorneys, paralegals, anything of the sort! Even paralegals!

I’ve been seriously considering going back to school and ultimately law school. But I thought here would be the best place to hear others stories, so help me out please!

What exactly is your job title? Did you do anything else first? Do you love your job? Why or why not? Do you intend to work your career in that position or move upward? Any words of advice or anything for some who considering law?

I have a family friend who worked as an ADA for about ten years before opening up is own office as criminal defense attorney. I feel like that would be exactly what I would want to do. I think that criminal law would be right where my heart is at, but I wouldn’t want to defend some guy that is without a doubt a dirtbag. I really admire what my family friend did because he built up his reputation at the district attorneys office and then when he switched over to criminal, he was basically able to pick and choose his clients easier because he already had a great name in the community and now is really known for defending people who are actually innocent, if that makes sense.

Either that, or I could see myself working in family law advocating for fathers rights.
