What date do you go by?

My sister and I are due at the same time but didn’t realize it because she used her last period day and I used conception day. 
Should I calculate my due date based on the date closest to conception?

I counted from the day I ovulated and the doctor confirmed it within 1 day. It was more accurate than my last period day. So if you know the day you ovulated/conceived, count from there.

I used my lmp until they did a dating scan. I actually had two ultrasounds within a week of each other and the dates lined up both times that I was almost a week ahead so the doctor is going by that now. We figured I ovulated early based on when I got my positive test and that proved it.

I use closest day to conception because I have very irregular periods. From my lmp I'd be 10 weeks but I'm actually closer to 7 weeks

you use your lmp. Thats considered the beginning of your cycle of pregnancy. Its almost impossible to know the exact time and date of implantation
