First time mom. What can and can I not do?

I know this is crazy but I don’t know these things. I have read and heard different stories. So I wanted to ask y’all. Can I get pedicures? Can I color my hair? What medicine can I take for headaches? What do y’all do for caffeine?  I’m 5 weeks 4 days. This is my first time being pregnant and I don’t know what to do.

Hey girl. I was just like you 4 years ago. It’s okay to ask. :) yes you may get pedicures. You can color your hair but preferably after 12 weeks due to your hormones being really high at this time of the pregnancy and may turn your hair into a whole different color or not take the color at all. As far as headaches you may take Tylenol. It’s completely safe. And you can still have caffeine. Preferably no more then 2 cups a day. You can also eat sushi but it has to be cooked. And you can eat deli meats but make sure they are hot. Also stay away from fish that has high levels of mercury. You can google it and it’ll tell you which ones to avoid. Drink your prenatal vitamins. Don’t lift anything heavier then you are used to it. Try not to stress so much because the baby can feel everything. Just relax and enjoy the ride! :) Happy and healthy 9 months to you.

You can color your hair in the 2nd trimester
But even then it can't be permanent.
Try a natural hair dye if you can and see how that goes.
Either way in the appt with your doc they pretty much answer all your questions. 
Just make a list of them so you don't forget any cause you will forget even if you say you won't lol.

When you have your first appt they will give you a packet with all that info. My packet mentions one cup of coffee a day. Plain Tylenol for headaches. ZERO aspirin products. You could probably go by your OB’s office and ask for the packet until you get your appt. every Dr is different so their info might not be the same.
