Which type of birth control should I go for?

I’m thinking of changing my birth control because I’ve had so many problems with them all. The combined pill made me feel really depressed, and I’ve been on two different types of mini pill and both of them have given me multiple periods in a months. I’m not even sure what types of birth control are out there. I could get a different type of pill but again I have to wait a few months to see when my body gets used to it and then if that doesn’t work change again. I have been offered the iud which I’m considering but I’m scared that it’ll be very painful. I’ve also heard of an injection (called a shot in america) and I considered that too but I have a phobia of needles so I’m not sure that would be too great for me and I’m also not sure how trustworthy that is. I’m planning on making an appointment to see my nurse when I am finishing my pill packet and she can discuss things with me but I wanted to see what others experiences with birth control were like and what types are out there and what people think the best for me might be. I’m 16 and I want to get something that is quite trustworthy so the pill isn’t always the best for that and I think I would like to try something other than the pill because it’s been a bad experience each time I’ve had it.
