Hear me out Aunt Flo

Dear Auntie Flo,

I’m writing today because as much as I love our visits each month, I NEED some time off. You see, I have some big plans and well, if all goes according to plan, I’m going to be booked for the next 9 months or so...

Now don’t get me wrong, I really do love your visits. The first time you ever visited me was a HUGE surprise. But my mom assured me you were my Aunt Flo and that I would learn to cherish our visits and next time would be much more prepared. I even get a new box to open up every time you come into town...if I pretend really hard I even imagine them as a present!!

In my early teen years, you always seemed to visit at the WORST times....big soccer championship, school dances, friends sleep over and even during my first boy/girl party. And I didn’t even mind....I learned to just deal with it!

For years I could SET MY CLOCK by your visits. Like a trusty Aunt you were there every month and right on time. Although, there were times in my early adult years that I PRAYED you’d show up. I’d pace the floor waiting for you....I was a nervous wreck when you’d show up a day or two late....

But now...NOW...it’s the opposite! I pray, wish and hope each month you won’t visit! I’m doing everything I can to make sure you don’t come! I’ve even got my husband helping out.

So please...PLEASE Aunt Flo, take some time off! Take a vacation, visit a different niece....

You have my blessing to not visit, and you not showing up would be the arrival of my GREATEST blessing.
