Baby shower for 2nd baby??

Just curious, if okay to have a baby shower for this baby? - my sons baby shower was 5-1/2 years ago. After several attempts but no luck, we gave a lot of the baby stuff away.

I think it is perfectly appropriate. Not only was your last one over 5 years ago, but IMO each child deserves to be celebrated!👍

My daughter will be almost 10 when this baby is born so yes i will be having another ☺ mostly for diapers and clothes this time though

I'm planning on having one. My daughter is turning 8 and either things were given away or have broke in the moves (my husband is in the military). We went yard sales right after I found out so most of the large ticket items are bought. So we'd only be registering for small items.

It a way to celebrate the bringing of a new life. I believe every child should have one. Everyone always thinks it's always about the gifts, but it's not. It's to share such a happy time in your life with friends and family and to celebrate the life of a new special someone!

I think a sprinkle is more appropriate. Get things like diapers and clothes. To ask people to go and get cribs and high chairs again I don't think is probably the best. Just my opinion.

I think it depends on where your from and how old your first is. Here on Long Island it's considered tacky unless your remarried or your older child is much older and you have nothing left over. I think it's totally nuts and everyone should do what they want. I have a friend who did something for all 5 of her kids. This will be my 3rd and my kids will be 8 & 5 when this one comes along so my best friend is doing something small and intimate since we struggled to have another so we want to celebrate and hopefully get a few of the smaller items we'll need.

I think it's okay to do something small, close family and friends. But not a full on, registry shower.
