So I thought I had this down but now I'm getting confused the more I read.. I keep hearing 5 days before ovulation is the most fertile.. So would that be the 3rd? And why is the 12th my 33%?

5 days before ovulation is def not the most fertile. It's good to have intercourse a day or 2 before ovulation so there is a good supply of sperms waiting for the egg before it's released. However ur most fertile is def when u ovulate & 2 days after that.

Sperm remain viable for up to 5, some sources say 7, days.  But that depends alot on the uterus.  Some uterus are more comfortable for sperm, some are more hostile.  So the amount of time sperm actually remain viable in varies woman to woman.  That is why you are told for your greatest chance start bding 5 days before expected ovulation, and that you have a 33% chance during ovulation.  
Another factor to keep in mind is glow is just making an educated guess about when you ovulated.  So the longer you bd the better.

The days in green are your "fertile window" or the days in which glow predicts you will ovulate. You're only ovulating for a 12-24 hour period so only one day, not five. Glow is predicting you have the highest chance of ovulating on the 12th which is why you have a 33% chance of pregnancy that day. The only way of knowing for sure if you're ovulating is is to test for ovulation.
