Bloody show after cervical check

Hi! I had a cervical check today and an attempted membrane sweep (couldn’t quite get in there as I was only 1cm dilated). A couple hours later, I lost my mucous plug along with some blood. I have read that bloody show can indicate labor is coming up in the next few days, but does that still apply if my bloody show was probably manually dislodged rather than coming out on its own?

Please excuse all my symptoms questions- I’m mentally at a stage where I’m hoping any twinge I feel is a sign of labor 😬
