Are there any instances where you would spank you 16 year old as a punishment?

My mom says I was being disrespectful, which might be true. And she says if I continue the behavior she'll physically "pop my behind" as a punishment (I know it sounds silly, but she was dead serious). I'm usually not super upset over my punishments, but this particular one doesn't seem to fit with my age (16). What do y'all think?

I feel like spankings should not be a form of punishment past elementary school. That sounds like an inappropriate punishment for a 16 year old. I don’t remember being spanked past like 8.

hell no. she should be able to talk to you about it and it's on you to make those corrections. or like take your phone away or something if you're still being "disrespectful" but idk my kids are only 1 and 4. I just know as a teenager you got better results from me talking to me like an adult.

My grandmother (who raised me) never spanked me after like 8 years old. One time I did push her buttons hard when I was 15 and she swatted me upside my head but not hard and it got me to stfu and listen lol.
