How much food does your LO eat?

I’m just curious to how much food your babe eats at each meal?? I feel like my daughter eats a lot. She literally eats everything I give her and acts like she could eat more!! But I don’t want her to get sick

That’s how much food I usually give her at each meal and she eats every bite. She isn’t overweight or anything at all. She’s in the 40th percentile for weight.. so I don’t think I’m over feeding her ?

Kids supposedly are more in touch with their hunger and fullness senses than adults are (we've taught ourselves to eat all our food even if we're not hungry, or we want to eat something snacky or sweet because it's yummy but we're not actually hungry for it) so I say if your daughter is hungry and eating then you can give her as much as she'll eat. 
That said, we do baby led weaning so my daughter self-feeds. I'd say if your baby is self feeding, let her eat as much as she wants. If you're feeding her, maybe do limit it. I have read that babies who are spoon fed instead of self feeding may be more likely to ignore fullness cues.

I’ve been researching this a lot and most articles and websites said 1 cup total for all three meals or about 3 tablespoons of food per meal.

I think I give my lo the same amount. Some of his foods ends up on the floor or on the chair. So I guess he eats 3/4 of it.

I feel the same way about my son sometimes and he is in the 25th percentile for weight but eats non stop! He is also 75th percentile for height and the picture of health, never sick or behind in anything. Very happy baby for the most part. I’ve just learned to trust him! By now they have a pretty good idea of when they are full I think. At this age they are more active and going through developmental leaps like crazy so I assume that is what is causing the ravenous hunger! Lol.

More then that. she probably ate 30-40 blueberries in one sitting after eating a little bit of pasta. If it's healthy, I don't restrict her. Plus babies can tell when they are too full to keep eating. Just make sure there are no distractions like TV that would cause them to do what most do and eat without thinking about it because they are too preoccupied with tv.
