People moaning about baby's gender shouldn't they be grateful that they can even conceive and have a healthy child??

Women who are pregnant do not have to be cheerful robots 24/7. It is possible to hold two feelings at once, and feel grateful but also disappointed.

You can be grateful to have a baby and also want a certain gender.

That's like people saying a pregnant woman shouldn't care if her child is disabled or not, she should be happy she is pregnant....

You're allowed to feel unhappy about things when pregnant. Most ppl are grateful for a baby at all. Just because it was harder to get pregnant for some of us it doesn't mean it erased our hopes for a boy or girl. I bet we all love the baby no matter what when he/she is born.

Gender disappointment is a real thing, it doesn't mean someone is ungrateful.... I wish women on this topic would get their heads out of their asses.....

Look, it's really not my problem that you can't have a baby. My issues are just as legit as yours. So, if I have an issue with the gender, I will complain. Complaining about how I'd rather have a girl doesn't mean I'm ungrateful that I have a child. It just means I'd rather have a girl. It takes people a while to accept that they can't have what they want.

Someone else's situation doesn't determine  my feelings.

Also, keep in mind that it is absolutely possible to be happy you have conceived and still experience gender disappointment.

Can we please stop shaming each other over ridiculous things now?

I'm pretty sure I was a little disappointed when I found out I was having a boy... But I was also grateful he was healthy. And I didn't/don't treat my son any different than if he was a girl. I love him to death.
