horror movies while pregnant?

I’m 22 weeks right now and I’ve avoided horror movies while pregnant because I’m so paranoid about everything. it’s completely safe, right? I’m a huge horror fan before pregnancy but I just didn’t want anything to go wrong. please don’t judge me lol

Just wondering what kinda problems or issues a horror movie would cause in pregnancy? This is my first pregnancy and I read this post like wtf there’s more things I need to worry about?!! 😅 can someone enlighten me please?

I LOVE horror movies & watch them all the time. Currently watching Ghost Adventures. 😂 I’ve never worried about it doing anything. BUT, my mom was watching Evil Dead with my Aunt & was LAUGHING so hard at Ash, she went into labor with my older sister. Lol. But she was pretty much due at the time, so that was probably the actual reason she went into labor. Haha.

you'd be fine. I know my heart just goes crazy although they were never scary before but it's fineeeee. Not like a life or death situation then that would really place the baby under stress.

That’s so funny, I’m glad I’m not the only “crazy” one 😂. Me and my fiancé LIVE off horror movies. We adore them. I love being scared. Well we’ve been so excited about Hereditary coming out and wanted to go see it but I had a slight panic that if I saw it my baby would “turn out evil”. It was like a 5 second thought and then we went anyway and it was fine lol
The only thing scary movies do (if you’re not super sensitive) is raise your heart rate. Well, so does exercise, sex, and walking up the stairs. So I say go for it!

I've been watching horror films throughout my pregnancy and haven't had any issues.

I'm glad I'm not the only one concerned on this haha. My grandma keeps telling me not to watch anything scary or it will mark the baby. idk what in the world that means!
