Norethindrone to treat endometriosis

I had my post-op doctor’s visit today and he told me I definitely had quite a bit of endometriosis. He removed basically all of it, but is putting me on 10mg of Norethindrone (Aygestin) starting today for 30 days and then 5mg for 60 days.

It’s rough because this means we can’t TTC for the next three months, which is why we did the laparoscopic surgery in the first place. However the doctor said that by taking this medication and stopping my periods for a few months will stop the endo from growing back.

I wanted to know if anyone has any experiences taking this medication for an entire month st a time and how essy/hard was it to conceive after stopping it? My doctor said I will be needing to have an HSG done again after I finish the medication and start my period, and THEN we should be in the clear to start trying again.
