Period or spotting? Please help

Okay so I’m confused because normally when I get my period it’s bright red or there’s like a lot and it’s heavy and I’ve been waiting for my period this week but when I got it this morning it was like a faint kinda pink or brown not red at all as if my period is ending and it’s light and doesn’t have that yuck fish smell it just smells like blood. I’m confused is this normal? I’ve been really sexually active lately I hope it’s not a pregnancy thing or anything.
