cycle day???

after completing provera, today I got light brown discharge. I have to start my clomid on my cd5-9. I think this is start of my period. so my question is, that discharge is very light so can I consider this day as my cd1 or I need to wait to get a normal period???how do you guys will consider your cycle days??
