I’m quitting my birth control today.

For the past year, I’ve been taking the birth control pill Lo Loestrin and honestly it’s been hell. Of course the first couple months I was on it I was adjusting and it was a pain, but when I got to month 4 on the pill, I still felt like shit. Before the pill, I had bad cramps, back pain, nausea, and nearly no appetite on my period. On the pill, I don’t bleed anymore BUT I’m nauseous nearly everyday and have next to no energy. Any small change in my diet, sleep schedule, or stress levels and I’m incapacitated for a week.

I’ve had it. I’m not nothing trying a different form of birth control because this was the lowest dose possible. I’m sick of nausea and food sensitivity. I’m not taking the pills anymore. I’m posting this to let all you ladies thinking about trying birth control know that this shit can happen. I’m sensitive as it is, but this still should not be such a bit problem in daily life.

Please let me know if you’ve had problems like this before with birth control and let me know of any tricks to better survive without it.
