Will there be another ultrasound in the 3rd trimester?

I'd love to see baby's face one more time pre-delivery .

It really depends on the doctor
My doctors only do one US and that's on the first visit and none after that unless it's urgent
The other two I get is with the doctor who does the genetic screening and finding out gender
Other doctors will let you see every visit you have or just if you ask
If your doctor won't then I suggest going to a place where you pay a little extra to have an hour long session to see baby!😊

Yeah they like too aRound 37 weeks to see the size of the baby and just make sure every thing is a go for delivery!

Sometimes it really depends on the situation. With my first pregnancy I only had one from my doctors office. This pregnancy I switched doctors offices & because they consider me high risk (due to betathasemia) they want to make sure baby is not going to be to small so I have another ultrasound at 31 weeks. So that will be my 4th ultrasound. Every doctors office is different though.

Commonly it's 1-2 ultrasounds per pregnancy that the insurance company will pay for unless a further diagnosis is set. Some providers have there own ultrasound and don't bill insurance so they do ultrasounds at most visits as a nice thing for there patients.

Every OB/Midwife is different. My first pregnancy I had an ultrasound almost every appointment except for maybe 3. This pregnancy, I've had an ultrasound every appointnent so far and most likely will continue as they now want to keep a very close eye on my placenta.

With my first 2 I had a midwife he gave me one just about every time I went in. I'm now 31 weeks and have a different doctor, and I've only had 3 with him. Last one was at 22 weeks. I will not have any more unless he feels I should.

I get one at 37 or 38 weeks to check the position of the baby. I just found out about this. With the doctor I had before I moved I wouldn't have gotten another ultrasound after 20 weeks.
