I gave birth on June 13 and I just today tried pumping my breast. did I wait to long to try? should I stop? if I didn't wait to long, how long should I pump on each breast bc I'm hardly getting anything.

pump for 20 to 30 mins for each breast even if you aren't getting anything it will help stimulate them and hopefully you'll start to produce. you may only get an ounce or half an ounce to start. I barely get 3 ounces when I pump

no I was not breastfeeding. I had not touched my boobs. My boobs started getting hard yesterday and hurting and I thought my milk was just now coming in and I could try pumping for first time today.

Are you actively breastfeeding? If so it could be that your milk didn't come in yet.
