Husband helping around the house..
So my husband usually gets home from work around 6 or 7pm, and helps with our daughter a bit and feeds her and puts her down for bed. The only household chores he does are taking the garbage out, and cleaning up after the cat.
I told him several times that on the weekends it would be nice to have a hand with chores, I would like to take some time to relax occasionally too. Before the baby he always helped... now he says that this is my job, and I shouldn't complain because he helps with the baby when he comes home.
Am I wrong to want some help?
This weekend I did our dishes, cleaned babys bottles, cleaned the kitchen, bathroom, cooked breakfast, did dishes again... all while he just sat on the couch with his eyes closed...
I would love to just have a moment to relax, and then he tells me too... but if I take a break he isn't doing any of the chores, it just means I have to so them later...
UPDATE
I'm on maternity leave right now. I also dont expect him to come home from work and do all of the chores... I'm talking for an hour on the weekend to maybe do something. I get that he works all week, I'm not asking for him to do everything either... just something.
