Yes, I think you should at least get routine testing done for you and your spouse. We have been TTC for over 7 years. I wish we had asked for help sooner than what we did. Maybe we would be pregnant by now.

It will depend on your age. A general rule is under age 35 one year, over age 35 six months. Actively trying.

It can never hurt to ask. Most doctors know if the workup is going to be covered by your insurance...

We finally asked for a referral to a specialist after 3 years. The doctor told us she didn't even give referrals till after TTC for at least 2 years. That's just how the military is anyway. We have Tricare.
