Does your partner agree with your favourite baby name choice?

My partner and I have always been on the complete same page with everything for the last 5 years.. Dont try to argue lol we know each other inside and out. Been together the past 5 years but before that were friends for over 10 years. We really GET each other apart from one thing... We have completely different name preferences. Were going to have a girl and he likes names like Zelda (as in the game) and other strange names.. I like normal names like Lily.. When we didnt know what we were having and were also looking at boy names.. he liked Dantè but I liked Adam. The name Dantè where we're from... you wouldn't find a little white boy called it...
do you and your partner agree on names whole heartedly or is there some comprise or are you struggling? let me know!

I’m so thankful for my hubby! Since names are an interest of mine, he said I can choose the names. He just doesn’t feel as passionate as I am about them. But he would say “no” to certain names if they were really out there. The ones I’ve chosen, aren’t crazy, and he said he likes them!

I liked unique names while my husband liked more common names. we really delved into baby names and found some names we could agree on though. like our first is named Aurora. I liked it because you don't hear it every day. out second will be either Stella or Nova. he likes Nova more but I think it's become wayyyyy to popular. I like Stella more. our three year old will break the tie when she meets her baby sister lol.

We chose at the beginning to do this. 
If the baby was a boy, he could pick aslong as I didn’t hate it. 
If the baby was a girl I’d pick aslong as he didn’t hate it. 
She’ll be a girl and we decided Nora or Imogen . 
But middle names. Omg . 
He’s stuck on Rey as the middle name and I really want Fleur . But we both don’t hate Blythe . We flip flop a lot . I hate it.

With my daughter my husband was completely uninterested in helping with names so I just picked it myself and he never said anything about it. BUT we were discussing boy names for the future and he says he gets to pick it out. Like what?? Now you’re interested. The names he picks is like zeppelin 😭 I like unique but classic names. Like Olive. At this point I hope we don’t ever have a boy because we will never agree

Husband and I are listing name a-z seeing if we have any in common he’s picky but with him coming up with names I can find ones I absolutely love. We both like unusual but pretty names. Our first is Mary-Clare. I hoping for a boy we’re still trying. Maybe next month 🤷‍♀️

We looked through long long lists. like 1000 or more names. To shortlist for ourselves and then see if we had picked any that were the same.

Had to compromise. Names we each loved the other totally vetoed. So have had had to find new names we both love. Not the easiest task. But not impossible either.
