Do high school relationships really last long term?

Statistically, no. They don’t typically last forever. Rarely do they last a long time. Is it possible yes? I’m hoping mine does. We are married.

High school relationships do work. Just not often. It's important to be friends first and foremost. It creates a nice balance throughout high school.

My parents started dating when my mom was 14 and my dad was 16. They got married at 21 and 19 (a week away from 20). This year, they will have their 42nd wedding anniversary. My in-laws started dating at 16 or 17, and they have been married since 1981. I met my husband my freshman year of college (age 18), and we have been together for 13 years and married for 8! 😄💕 It is definitely possible!

I've know 3 people who are still with their high school sweethearts almost 11 years later. All 3 are married with at least 1 child as well. And those are just the ones I know about. There could very well be others from my school that are still together as well. so it does happen for some couples.

I think it's possible for some people. If they r really mature maybe. But in general I would say no. Once u get older u meet new people and u discover things about urself that u could have never known about in high school.

We started dating when I was a junior and he was a senior. Now he’s a college junior and I’m a sophomore. It’s possible, just depends on the strength of the relationship and maturity honestly.
