Have you used Paragard before?

Question

I’m giving up on taking the Pill because of all the horrific side effects I’ve been having for months, and I’ve been considering the Paragard IUD instead because it’s non-hormonal.
Any of you ladies used it before? Does it work better? I’m scared to use anything else, but I can’t survive with these side effects of the Pill.

literally just got it put in 20 min ago. Easy peasy lmao. The only side effect to paraguard that im aware of is heavier/crampier periods. But I am so happy to get it and to be done with hormones!! my obgyn assured me its the most effective form of contraception and its very very rare for pregnancy or mishaps to occur.
