my boyfriend HSV. hes never shown an outbreak at all. but he recently got really sick, and boom! outbreak. now, I'm not one to stigmatize STDs, especially hsv. so many people have it. but his self esteem is completely shot. I try to comfort him and let him know I dont care, I still love him, I dont find him gross, it's common etc, but nothing seems to be helping. how do i help him feel comfortable in his body again? hes such a beautiful person and has so many medical issues already (alports syndrome, double kidney transplant, lots of scars from getting ports and the transplant, vision and hearing loss...) and has low self esteem already. but I really just want to make him feel good about himself. :(
