Implantation bleeding?!

Ok so I have very irregular periods. My obgyn recommended I take bc to regulate. I had a 5 day period started my month of bc then had an 11 day period. After my period my significant other and I decided to do the do everyday until next period...according to my ovulation calendar I would be 8dpo. Today I had light pink discharge when I wiped then a brownish color. Could this be implantation bleeding? I don’t want to get overly excited just to get my hopes up because I do have irregular periods, but I’m not supposed to start for another 6 days...opinions please and ty
