DHA in first trimester??

I am 4w 5d and just realized my prenatals don’t have DHA in them. Anyone know if this is absolutely necessary to take right away in pregnancy? Wondering if I should go buy a DHA supplement

Yes you want DHA/EPA.  I would get it and start taking it now.

I don’t think dha is necessary a requirement but it does support brain function! I think it’s more important for a prenatal and then dha in the second and third trimester if I’m not mistaken when the brain really starts developing!
