Hey ladies, I’m 38+4 today and had an OB appointment yesterday where they did a cervical check. She did push around in there a bit, so I’m not sure if this is just spotting/brown blood after an exam, or bloody show. It’s definitely brown tinged mucus and it’s been coming out in small chunks since yesterday, an hour or so after the exam.

I’ve been having what feels like stronger period cramps since the exam, that do radiate to my back/rectum (sorry, TMI 😝). Is that just par for the course after an exam, or could the exam have kickstarted things a bit? I also had a chiropractic adjustment earlier in the day yesterday, and they do say that can also kickstart labor if your body is ready, so I’m just wondering if I should be thinking along the lines of labor right now or just “this is what happens after a cervical check”.
